Asylum House- Greenwood, IN

The last haunted house that we went to was in New York City a couple of years ago and it was great. Before that, it had been a really long time since we went through one. We were under the mistaken impression that haunted houses were more for teenagers but we spotted all ages at Aslyum House on Saturday night. And, we must say, it was about as high quality of an operation as the New York City one. It was even a bit more personalized since we were just sent in with each other, instead of in a big group, leaving us no one else to hide behind in the very interactive rooms. The gothic ladies yell "incoming" as they let you in and you meet everyone from a mad scientist to zombies. Like the New York City one, we were given 3D glasses for a portion of it and that part was frighteningly effective. If you make it through the first portion, you'll head out to a graveyard and eventually to what we found to be a baffling maze in the Crystal Lake Woods Walk with many familiar movie killers adding to the terror. We found it to be worth our $19 admission and, if you can go on Sunday through Thursday, watch Nuvo for their ad that is worth $2 off of admission. We noticed that ad in the October 1st Nuvo.
