Glory Days Cafe in Beech Grove

This restaurant dishes up home cooking with super friendly service. While a good deal of their customers seemed to be regulars, even "strangers" like us were treated like regulars. The inside has an Americana theme and there is even outdoor seating. We chose the special of the day, which was Country Fried Steak with an egg, toast, and home fries, and the oatmeal. We jazzed the oatmeal up with some raisins but brown sugar was also offered. They told us that they are in the process of changing their menu so they didn't have any carry-out menus that we can share with you. The above photo is a partial glimpse of the breakfast menu. A cute spot to keep in mind for breakfast or lunch in Beech Grove.

(We had some slight confusion with the name. We had an old paper that called it B & B Morningglory Cafe, Urbanspoon has it listed as Marty's Morningglory Cafe, but when we got there it just seemed to be called Glory Days.)

What a joke! We work right around the corner from this place and thought we had a nice place to eat. The service was horrible and the food was not that great. We waited 10 minutes before anyone came over to us. It took them 40 minutes to bring us our food. All we had was a tenderlion and a BLT. It was our first time and it will be our last. We will also make sure we spread the word.

I had great service and the food was wonderful. I was in to order multiple dinners so I expected the wait but there wasn't one.

Check this one out!! Good home cooking!!
