So, we had never heard of Stew or The Negro Problem until all the acclaim started pouring in for the Broadway show Passing Strange in which Stew wrote the book, lyrics, co-composes, co-orchestrates, and narrates. We love discovering artists who have been around for awhile but who we just haven't been exposed to for whatever reason. They have a CD from 1997 called Post Minstrel Syndrome that still sounds fabulous over a decade later, especially the MacArthur Park cover.
