We are headed to the Phoenix/Scottsdale area this weekend so, if you have any tips of where to eat, shop, or sightsee, let us know.

Oooh! Lucky you! I remember loving the burritos and fish tacos at Rubio's (a chain which is all over town).

Should you head down to Tucson, check out The Donut Wheel just off the interstate for the best donuts in America. Another can't miss in Tucson is the sunset at Mountain Park. Far prettier than the National Park to the north.

Rawhide is fun, if campy. Old-timey western town atmosphere, followed by a cookout-type meal. Note...I went with a group, not sure what accomadations are like for a couple.

Also, I highly recommend Taliesin West, Frank Lloyd Wright's compound, just west of Scottsdale.

Enjoy.

Oh yes, Taliesin West is on our short MUST DO list. Mrs. WYA! is a big FLW fan.

And by just west of Scottsdale, I of course meant just EAST. I was directionally challenged yesterday!

No problem, we are directionally challenged all of the time- we knew where you meant (and we can't wait to see it!)

In downtown Scottsdale, you should strongly consider Cowboy Chao! Make sure to order their chopped salad. Amazing. The same people own several other restaurants in the same area and it would be worth looking at their web site and going to any of them. There is a small family run Israeli restaurant called Sabuddy that you might look up. Finally, in Kierland Commons, check out Zinc Bistro. This restaurant would be in the general direction of Taliesin West which we would also highly recommend.

Thanks for the tips. We were intrigued by Sabuddy but their website doesn't work and Urbanspoon says that they are closed.
